Hibiscus Coast Association Football Club (HBCAFC) is one of Auckland’s largest community-based football clubs located on the Hibiscus Coast. We provide football opportunities from grassroots juniors and talent development through to senior and social football, supported by a committed volunteer base.
We are now seeking an Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the day-to-day and seasonal operations of the club. This is a senior role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, supporting people, and ensuring that operations run smoothly and professionally.
About the Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all operational activities across the club. Acting as a key link between the Executive Board, volunteers, coaches, and external stakeholders, this role plays a critical part in how effectively the club functions.
The role is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong focus on:

Coordinating people, systems, and resources

Supporting and strengthening volunteer-led structures

Ensuring safe, well-organised matchdays and football programmes

Delivering club projects efficiently and sustainably

Key Responsibilities (Summary)

Lead and oversee football operations, including training schedules, matchday logistics, facilities, and equipment

Coordinate volunteers, committees, and staff to deliver operational projects and events

Manage registrations, transfers, and compliance with NZ Football and NRF systems

Support matchday operations, including volunteer Game Day Managers and volunteers

Oversee facilities, health and safety, and operational compliance

Work with the Finance & Risk Committee on operational budgets and resource allocation

Lead funding and grant applications and reporting requirements
-
Maintain strong working relationships with Council, NRF, referees, and other clubs
