We know our teams are always looking for ways to fund new kit, extra tournaments, travel, or specialised coaching. To help you achieve this, Hibiscus Coast AFC is excited to offer our Individual Team Sponsorship model.
This program makes it easier than ever to get local businesses on board while directly benefiting your players. You find the sponsor, we provide the high-spec gear, and your team keeps the lion's share of the extra funding!
How It Works: The "Power to the Teams" Model
You secure a sponsor (or a group of sponsors) for your team, and we provide a high-spec, custom kit that turns your players into professional brand ambassadors.

The Investment: Minimum sponsorship starts at $3,000 + GST.

The Team Kickback: The first $3,000 covers the professional playing kits (including numbers and logos). Your team receives 90% of all funds raised above the initial package investment to spend however you choose—on trips, extra gear, or specialist coaching! For example, if your team raises $5,000 in sponsorship for the Elite Playing Kit, on top of receiving the kit, $1,800 will go towards your team. There is no maximum amount your team can raise.

The Timeline: Production takes approximately 8 weeks from design sign-off. All sponsorships secured now will cover the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
NOTE: All sponsorship packages are based on 18 players. If your team is smaller or larger, let us know, and we will adjust for you.

Q: Who is responsible for finding the sponsor?
A: This is a team-led initiative. Coaches, managers, or parents identify and approach potential sponsors (local businesses, family friends, or community partners). The club provides the infrastructure, official invoicing, and high-spec gear once the partnership is secured.
Q: How much does the sponsorship cost?
A: The investment is based on your squad size. For a standard squad of 18 players, the minimum sponsorship is $3,000 + GST. This covers the professional manufacturing and branding of the playing kits.
Q: What if our team has fewer or more than 18 players?
A: We scale the investment to fit your roster. If you have a smaller junior team (e.g., 7-a-side), the minimum sponsorship requirement is reduced. If you have a larger squad (e.g., 20+ players), the minimum increases by a flat per-player rate to ensure everyone is covered. Contact manager@hbcafc.org.nz for a quote specific to your team size.
Q: How does the "Team Kickback" work?
A: This is the best part! Once the minimum cost of the kits is covered, your team receives 90% of all funds raised above that amount. You can use this money for tournament entry fees, travel, specialised coaching, or extra training gear.
Q: How many logo spaces does a sponsor get?
A: It depends on the package your team chooses:

Elite Match Kit: 5 prime spots (Shirt front, back, and both sleeves).

Full Match Kit (+$500): 7 spots (Shirt spots + 2 spots on playing shorts).

Training Pro Set (+$1,500): 10 spots (Shirt spots + 5 spots on training shirts).

Q: Can we have more than one sponsor for a single team?
A: Absolutely. You can "split" the spots among multiple businesses. For example, one business might sponsor the front of the shirt, while another takes the sleeves. As long as the minimum package investment for your squad size is met, you can have a group of sponsors.
Q: How long does the kit take to arrive?
A: Production and delivery take approximately 8 weeks from the moment the design and logos are officially signed off.
Q: Is the sponsorship for one year or two?
A: All sponsorships secured now are for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. This provides the sponsor with two full years of branding and the team with two years of high-quality gear.
Q: Are there tax benefits for the business?
A: Yes. HBCAFC handles the invoicing directly. We provide the business with an official sponsorship invoice, which is typically 100% tax-deductible as a business expense.
Q: What kind of social media exposure do sponsors get?
A: Every sponsored team receives a dedicated "shout-out" on HBCAFC’s official social media channels, tagging the business and thanking them for supporting youth football on the Coast.
