TRAINING FIELD Closures
Field closures are notified via our FB page and Club App around 2pm each week day. But ONLY if they are CLOSED. You can also check on the Auckland Council website Sports Field Closures which is updated daily by 1pm.
FIRST KICKS and FUN FOOTBALL (5th - 8th Grade)
First Kicks and Fun Football at Stanmore Bay Park on Saturday mornings and Metro Park on Friday evenings. Cancellations is the responsibility of HBCAFC and are reviewed the day prior and again an hour before start time. We will notify cancellations via our FB page and Club App. However, this is a rare event...so, be ready to play regardless of the weather.
MATCH DAY
Northern Football Federation (NFF) works with clubs and on the advice of junior, youth and senior club officials as well as referees, gathers information on whether to postpone or cancel games. These are notified via the NFF website and the NFF App
Blanket cancellations due to severe weather conditions are made by NFF but are rare. If one is made Grade Coordinators will be advised to contact their Coaches and Managers to to relay to players and parents. Notifications will also be posted on NFF and HBCAFC FB pages and NFF and Club Apps
Note: NFF do not use Radio for cancellations in Auckland.
JUNIORS / YOUTH / SENIOR games cancellations
Following the receipt of weekend ground restriction information from Councils on a Friday afternoon, fixtures and changes are confirmed and posted on the NFF website and Social Media after 3:00pm. Grounds closures are generally not made by Councils on Saturday mornings, and the responsibility then lies with Hibiscus Coast AFC.
On match day, The responsibility sits with the parents/referees/clubs to assess the weather conditions and make a call on player safety.
On the call of the club co-ordinator/coaches/referees on site games can be abandoned due to weather conditions or ground play-ability. If a match is abandoned for any reason please advise the host club who must notify NFF.
