Announcement // New Technical Director of Football

29 Oct

Hibiscus Coast AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Dickinson as our new Technical Director of Football.

Adam brings with him an abundance of knowledge and experience, both as a successful former professional player and as a coach. With spells in his home country playing for the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Adam later moved to New Zealand where he signed for Auckland City FC, winning the FIFA OFC Champions League five times.

In recent years, Adam has coached Forrest Hill to promotion into the NRFL Premier League, and was the Head Coach for Northern Rovers in their inaugural season.

Adam is already an embedded member of our Coast community - living in Gulf Harbour with his family and owns successful local businesses, Party Kingdom and Playball, who regularly support local community initiatives, children and schools. He has a proven success record both on and off the pitch, is a seasoned professional, and is passionate about supporting the development of our juniors and youth to be the best players they can be. To achieve that, Adam is looking forward to working closely with all of our coaches to support their development, empowering them to also deliver high quality programmes to Coast players of all ages, playing levels and abilities.

"Attracting Adam to Hibiscus Coast as our Technical Director of Football is great for our Club and community. His appointment enables us to continue the excellent work Mauricio Rojas has started and put in place, and will help us continue to develop and enhance our Skill Centres, Talent Development Programs and other initiatives. We can see that his experience, passion and commitment will be a real asset to our local community, staff, supporters and volunteers, and most importantly our players and coaches at every level” says Club President, Scott Beard.

Outside of football Adam enjoys time with his family and time on the water, among many other things.

Adam will officially start in his new role at Hibiscus Coast AFC in December, with planning already underway for next season.
