COVID-19 Policy
Hibiscus Coast AFSC COVID-19 Update as at 29 March 2022
This is an update following the Club’s Statement dated 24 February 2022 (PDF below) regarding its COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Policy.
Sport New Zealand, New Zealand Football (NZF) and Northern Regional Football (NRF) have recently released updated information following the Government’s updates to Vaccination Mandates and the COVID-19 Protection Framework which comes into effect from 4 April 2022 onwards (some changes have already taken place as of 25 March 2022).
As a result, from 11.59pm on 4 April 2022, there will be no requirement to use My Vaccine Pass (MVP) for football activity.
Until that time, NZF and NRF-operated football and fustal activity should continue to operate as MVP gatherings, with no limits on outdoor gatherings and a 200-person limit on indoor gatherings. There is also no longer any requirement to display QR codes, scan in, or have mandatory record keeping (contact tracing). More details can be found here.
The Club remains proud of its commitment to inclusivity and equal access to opportunities, having put plans in place to ensure all members of our community could participate in the sport they love in a safe and secure environment.
Hibiscus Coast AFC is delighted to see NZF and NRF respond and support these changes so quickly, ensuring all of our members can get back to playing football this year.
Should anything change in the future, the Club will keep its community informed through social media and on our website.
The below PDF is the Club's Statement dated 24 Feburary 2022, which has since been updated with the above information.
